Citizen lobbyists to push for trans inclusive ENDA on Tuesday

Citizen lobbyists from across the country are expected to descend on Capitol Hill this week to encourage lawmakers to pass a trans-inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
Participants in the National Center for Transgender Equality-led lobby day are set to meet with House members and senators on Tuesday to emphasize the importance of passing ENDA with transgender provisions.
On Monday, participants will receive training how to press for an trans-inclusive ENDA with lawmakers.
Additionally, citizen lobbyists will hear from representatives from the White House, the Transportation Security Administration, the U.S. Census Bureau, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and the Transgender Civil Rights Project of the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force. The National Coalition for LGBT Health will discuss the important of health care reform.
